Caitlin is a television researcher, story producer, and writer, based in Vancouver. She has a master’s degree in Journalism from UBC and made the leap from newspaper and magazine reporting to documentary work in 2005.
Her work includes the Emmy-nominated episode of Dan Rather Reports, Green Scare on HD Net, research and story producing for ID channel’s Very Bad Men, and The Devil You Know, researching for Kink on Showcase, and casting work for Confessions: Animal Hoarding for Animal Planet.
She has also worked for development teams at Omni TV, Paperny Films, and Lark Productions before becoming Head of Development at TysonMedia in January 2021. Caitlin prides herself on her ability to find the stories worth telling and finding the right people to tell them.
Laura Wheeler is a senior-level Business Affairs Executive with over 20 years of experience in television, film and digital media, working with independent Canadian production companies, U.S studios and international partners. Laura has been responsible for the business affairs at every stage of a project, from acquisitions to development and from production to post-production on hundreds of hours of scripted, unscripted series, documentaries and animated programs.
Laura is experienced in all matters relating to broadcasters, distributors, funders, talent, tax credit agencies, labour unions (US and Canada), legal, contracts, marketing and publicity.
Shivam has been working in Post Production for four years. Before moving to Vancouver he was an Assistant Director in Bollywood.
He has worked as an Assistant Editor, Editor, DIT and Colourist on contemporary dance videos, short films, and commercials. One of his many goals is to Write and Direct feature films.
Jamie has been an Assistant Editor for three years. He has worked on commercials, corporate videos, and on CityTV’s Veracity.
In his free time he enjoys creating animations, short films, and music videos for local bands.
Alex recently moved to Vancouver from Edmonton in June of 2021 to pursue a longtime dream of working in the film industry.
After a short time working as an on-set production assistant, he began looking for a role where he could learn the ins and outs of the post-production and development side of the industry. Tyson offered him the opportunity to do just that, and Alex has been working at Tyson Media in a flex position.
His work with Tyson Media has allowed him to explore everything from video editing software to camera operating; while also working closely with Tyson, assisting him on different productions.
