Ed de Rivaz is a citizen of the UK, Canada and USA with 15 years experience developing and
producing factual content in Canada and the United States, working on both the producing and
commissioning sides of the industry.
As the head of development at Great Pacific Media (2019-2023) Ed lead the creation of various
series including DEADMAN'S CURSE (History, Hulu), MUD MOUNTAIN
HAULERS (Discovery), WILD ROSE VET (APTN, Blue Ant), STYLED (HGTV), and GUT
JOB (HGTV); and he oversaw the casting for various series renewals.
As executive producer and creative director with Anaid Productions (2016-2019) Ed developed
and produced the sports documentary ENGRAVED ON A NATION: MAN VS MACHINE for
TSN, and developed the pioneering MIND SET GO for Accessible Media Inc.
A tenure as executive producer at History Channel US (2014-2016) saw him develop and
commission original series and oversee legacy shows including ALASKA OFF-ROAD
WARRIORS, AX MEN, BIKER BATTLEGROUND PHOENIX, COUNTING CARS, DOOMSDAY:
10 WAYS THE WORLD WILL END, and MILWAUKEE BLACKSMITH, plus various standalone
historical documentaries.
While at BBC Worldwide Productions in Los Angeles (2010-2014) Ed developed, cast and
produced Nat Geo’s award-winning LIFE BELOW ZERO, plus LIVES ON
FIRE (OWN), RICHARD HAMMOND'S CRASH COURSE (BBC America), LADIES OF
LONDON (Bravo), and VANDERBILT MDs (USA Network).
Ed is originally from the UK where he studied History and Business Management at the
University of Cambridge.
